Last year we had a bumble bee and her field of flowers, and this year we created a flowers look for dad! This little butterfly fairy thought her dad’s floralized beard was pretty special! If dad doesn’t have a beard, or you don’t have flowers hanging around, any floral shirt will do! The mom is dressed up as “pirate’s treasure!” She made the jeweled crown and they all had so much fun tossing those pirate coins in the air! The little shark brought suspense and adventure and completed our “lost at sea” family!Īustin Hendrix and his daughter as the Butterfly Fairy and Flowers wildevalentine When I saw the adorable mermaid costume this year, I knew I needed a pirate to go with it. The rainbow mama’s purse is actually an old Pottery Barn Kid’s bag (from last Fall) that I wrapped in gold sequin fabric!Īmber and Brian Thrane and kids as the Lost at Sea Family amberthrane What goes better together than rainbows and unicorns?! For this look we paired a rainbow skirt with a white scalloped top for a “cloud” effect. This look was inspired by my friend Kelly over at Studio DIY and her balloon space costume! I wanted to look celestial for my brave astronaut so I wore a black sequin jumper (but anything black and shiny would work) and pinned on some gold sequin stars. This year’s PB Kid’s costumes are just beyond adorable, and I hope these looks will inspire you to get dressed up with them! Happy trick or treating!Ĭassidy June and her daughter as the Astronaut and Space drcassidy I was especially excited to get some dads involved in the dressing up this year, there’s no reason they should be left out of the fun!

As a family therapist, I’m a firm believer in finding ways to make every holiday a family affair and I’m always a huge advocate of getting creative and silly with your kids. I had so much fun putting together some mom and kid costumes last year for Pottery Barn Kids. That’s why we’ve partnered with our friend Cassidy June again to show just how fun – and adorable – it is to get it costume with your kids this Halloween. It’s not only a time to see your children’s imaginations run wild, but it’s also a time for bonding and having fun with your little ones. At Pottery Barn Kids, we absolutely love Halloween.
